Importers Get Ready for Another Round of General Rate Increases

Effective March 15, 2021 a second round of General Rate Increases slated for March, 2021 has been filed for all cargo imported from Asia ports of loading, to U.S.A., Canada, and Mexico ports/ramps of discharge.  With a tremendous back-up of ships waiting to be unloaded at US West Coast Ports, we suspect this will not be the end of multiple GRI increases within the same month.

The proposed increases are as follows:

General Rate Increase – March 15, 2021

USD     900 / 20′

USD   1,000 / 40′

USD   1,125 / 40′ HQ

USD   1,125 / 40′ Reefer

USD   1,266 / 45′

USD   1,600 / 53′
