U.S. Imports Up 6% In QIII 2015 As Retailers Build Holiday Season Inventory

Retailers are building up inventory for the holiday season this year. The proof comes from several sources. First, according to trade research firm Zepol, inventory of US containerized imports is up 6% from last year at this time. Data reported by Hackett Associated also shows an increase. The National Retail Federation projects an increase in holiday sales this year, and there was growth in container volume.
