Without a lot of fanfare, UPS has announced their Annual General Rate Increases for 2020, even though these increases will actually take effect on December 29th.
Mirroring their rival, FedEx, UPS’ rates for UPS Ground, UPS Air and International services will increase, (and here is the key), ON AVERAGE 4.9%. So depending on the service utilized, actual or billed shipment weight, and zone shipped to, actual increases can be more or less than the 4.9% announced increase.
To assist our readers to better understand how these increases actually affects their business, we are making available, Rate Chart Comparisons comparing the current 2019 rates with the proposed 2020 rates for various services, shipment weights and zones.
