It was just a few short weeks ago, (at least it seemed that way), that diesel prices, as well as gasoline prices were dropping by the day. Well, that is now ancient history. The laws of supply and demand are clearly in control here, as they always are. Back in February the demand for both gasoline and diesel were extremely low and so the prices naturally dropped. Well, today as we enter the re-opening phases in the country, the demand for diesel and gasoline fuels is beginning to rise and in our opinion will continue to rise throughout the summer.
Businesses are getting “back to normal” so the demand for goods is steadily increasing. The real question however is will this trend continue or is this just a temporary rebound. The answer to that question will be surely based on the success of each state’s “opening up” as well as the number of Covid-19 cases diagnosed over the next few months. We are certainly not out of the woods yet and probably won’t be for a while. Stay tuned!
